Mysterious Skin

I'd never heard of this movie, but I was browsing the free streaming movies you can get with Amazon Prime, and saw it had Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it, and hey! Can't be too bad if he's in it.

It's sort of like a cross between Fire in the Sky and Boogie Nights or maybe Kids but I never saw that one so I can't be sure. It contrasts the life of two boys who were on the same little league team; one thinks he was abducted by aliens, and the other (Joseph G-L) was (sort of) seduced by his coach. Gordon-Levitt leads this crazy life as a male prostitute with a thing for older men, with plenty of scenes of him almost-naked if you're into that, and the other guy is just some boring nerd. The nerd is looking for answers to what happened to him during the "missing time" where he thinks he was abducted, and Gordon-Levitt is just trying to escape his small town and do some psychological spring cleaning thing or something, they don't really say. They meet up and compare stories.

Interesting little drama, with some obviously amazing acting by Gordon-Levitt, as expected. Kinda slow and... drama-ish. I'm more into action movies, because if I want slow, I can just read a book... but I don't regret seeing it. I'd recommend it if you're a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt or just feel like seeing his bare ass a bunch of times.
