This might be a cute one to rent if you like chicky dark comedy. It's a little story about a Christian high school, a very misguided girl, her mother, her gay boyfriend, and her wack job friends. Includes popularity contests gone terribly wrong, bible throwing, debates on the race of Jesus, and general sacrilegious humor. The movie is a merry ride through self destruction and redemption while dodging mental institutions and the people who belong in them, but, sadly, aren’t. Funny and thoughtful, if slightly offensive to…well, probably a lot of people :X.

Another movie in this vein is called Drop Dead Gorgeous. This one is about a small town beauty pagent. Features an adorable Kirsten Dunst, a lunatic Christy Alley, and some other people I can’t remember. Includes Midwest accents, corpses, and a good old fashioned white trash vs. rich snob battle. Very funny, very sick, very wrong.
