Day 2 - OOC

Jacob is not a chef. He is not even a cook. He just cuts the vegetables.

Remember in the Blade Runner movie near the beginning when Harrison Ford sits down at some street restaurant and orders some noodles? My character works at a place like that, in the back, chopping up the veggies.

Besides, the inspector thinks that Deaner would be very unlikely to eat anything that he didn't prepare himself, and I tend to agree. The guy is a paranoid schizophrenic, and I doubt he would let anyone cook for him, especially someone who tried to vote him off earlier that evening.

There are three big questions that I ask myself as I read this scene:

1) How did Rufus Deaner die? He appearantly died a nonviolent death. When Vera Staton was murdered, she was left to bleed - very messy.

It could have been poison, but as many people have said, he probably didn't let anyone cook for him. He said himself that he wasn't taking his meds, which is why he was off his rocker. It could have been any number of other things. Drown him in a bucket? gas poisoning?

2) Why did they clean the apartment afterwards? wiping it down to clean fingerprints is one thing, but mopping the floors and vacuuming?

I don't have a clue here.

3) WHY did they kill Rufus Deaner? He was potentially the SK, but it seems to me it would be in the mob's best interest to let the SK live for a while and slice up a few townies, to make their job easier. Judging by the votes from last time, he might have been next in line to get lynched, anyways. Other than that, he clearly made an enemy out of Geeii. Geeii might be mob defending himself against a future lynching, but I doubt it. More likely they are doing what Vulash said, and trying to frame Geeii in hopes that we lynch him for them. This of course begs the question of why they want Geeii dead. I don't have a clue on that.

Of course, maybe Geeii really is mafia, and is hoping that his hit is so brazen and flagrant that everyone will think it is a frame?

flawed logic-

About halfway through voting I switched my vote - I had come to realize it was just too tidy to blame the SK on the obvious choice. The SK thinks he is safe, he wouldn't react like Rufus did - furthermore I tried to dissuade others into picking someone else.

If I were mafia at this point I would be laying low, letting the townies do the killing just as you suggested they should let the SK do. Besides, if I wanted Deaner dead, I would have just kept my vote against him, and kept my mouth shut...why put myself at obvious risk by having him offed?

Best bet to me is either
1) there was a struggle, it just didn't show on deaners body - maybe things were knocked over, food spilled - or maybe one of the mafia was hurt - hence the cleanup
2) either as a character trait of cleanliness
or
3) an attempt to frame a couple people, both myself and the janitor in hopes of getting rid of one of us..

i suspected geeii might be mafia yesterday, today im just not sure. does the mafia have to be androids? or can they be android sympathizers? or maybe someone else who has something to gain from helping the androids?

why are the androids killing these "innocent" people anyways? i understand they want their freedom, and theyre (in their own minds) killing in self-defense... why did they even kill the lawyer to begin with? hadnt the lawyer been fighting for the androids rights?

im all confused. hopefully more people will post (in-character!~) and give us some more leads... false or not...

It would make sense for Geeii to be an android if he was the godfather since the godfather is a very empathetic android - however, it just doesn't all fit if so.

I think at this point I want to lean towards the quieter people. Those people laying low. Who isn't talking much at all?

Anabel? Marcus Crowley? Collin? Jarvis?

Please note: I'm thinking its Anabel, she's an empathic psychotic. She has the motive, the fucked up voices, and can kill with her uber lethal dust (Which she can clean up later).

Also, two others due to the real lack of subtance in their bios makes me wonder wtf they are:
Jarvis
and
Collin McStetson

Neither of these give any character insight, and are really blank slates. Nor to mention neither have actualy posted much anyways....

Just wanted to clarify something here:
Dust poisoning refers to radioactive dust, not dirt type dust. It's part of the book, there are frequent references to dust warnings the way we might have storm warnings. Also, everyone wears a dust mask when they go outside, meaning, a radiation mask.

I'd also like to point out the being able to receive thoughts does not mean that I can plant them.

yeah, people are going crazy with the killer mind dust thing, but its only day two and people arent posting much... so we have to jump to crazy conclusions :P

Anabel woke up with a start. It felt like only moments since she'd fallen asleep. A glance at the ancient clock next to her bed confirmed that it had indeed only been about an hour. It took her a moment to realize that what roused her was a loud crashing noise.

She stepped out into the hall and saw that the lady cop had kicked in the door of that very disturbed man, Rufus, that was his name. She could smell the astringent odor of the cleaners down the hall. After everyone had gone back into their rooms and Caitlinn left, she went down to the room to look around. It was so clean, she wished she knew who'd done it so they could clean her room that way. Jed certainly never cleaned that good.

It will go up after the Serial Killer strikes tomorrow morning (assuming we didn't lynch him).

There were two reasons I didn't put much in Collin's bio when I wrote it.
1 - I was coming off a horrible migraine.
2 - I didn't understand how the bios would tie in to the OOC discussion which would result in the IC removal of a 'player'.

I'm leaving it as it stands however; Collin is as plain as his introduction.

Caitlinn strikes me as a bit too nosy for her own health. "Curiosity killed the cat" nosy.

Polarn seems to be one to keep to herself.

Tyler does seem to have pro-android sentiments, which while not making him necessarily a bad man, does put him at risk for pure-human protestors.

Jeb, the janitor, has too clean of a work-around for the blame in this case. It's like the dog eating your homework.

Jacob has too-convenient a reason for being repeatedly injured... where one can definately get hurt in really any profession, especially where one uses sharp instruments on a regular basis...

And Simon... why is Simon not sleeping well?

I really don't see much with this anabel hates dust so much because it killed her mother that she has to clean it everywhere even at a deathscene thing logic.

So here is my take after the updated info on the deaths...

1) 2 killers wanted the lawyer dead.
a - mafia - reason: internal disagreements from the rosen corp? is the mafia working for thiem, with their interests?
reason: she may have been getting close to discovering who the andriods were in the building - which could mean they would be put back into 'slavery'

b - SK - obvious reason is because she either was and android, or an android supporter. The SK has a fear of authority and a fear of androids.

2) Rufus death - airborne agent. Now how did it get to only his room. Couple speculations:
a - air vents. Who has access to the maintenance vents? The Janitor....
b - something left in the room. Who has wandering easy access to *anyone's* room, who is trustworthy enough? The mechanic, Jean (who, as I just found out...is DEAD via SK.)

figuring out the new crime scene now....

i thought that the SK just killed the lawyer because s/he was a sick bastard. s/he found her lying there on the verge of either life or death, and helped her over to the death side.

What about a snake? Say an exotic jungle poisoneous one? or anything of that type?

So much hate for me today :( Jed has the access to the vents. He has no pet and might therefore resent anyone who he feels is mistreating theirs, real or fake. Also, his bio indicates that he does watch everyone and that he has at least a sense of mistrust for androids.


I am quite confident that Jed is the serial killer.

Actually, Jed has a pet. It's a cat named Keero (it's in his character thread). And no, he's not the serial killer, although I'm sure that anyone would say the same thing if they were accused ;)
