But was Jean Mafia? I still think he could have been....
I think Dana can be ruled out as the SK at this point, she obviously has an aversion to blood and gore....

Who's cat is dead and would take specific offense to the dismantling of a cat, not so much a pet? Collin's cat is dead.
A bit detached too, although he does repair other mechanical animals..detached from humans? paranoid of them for being androids?!

So my cat died. That happens when they get old - and she was over eighteen. And I've always had an aptitude for computers and electronics repair and troubleshooting.
Besides, I just don't want to be on Earth, but this is the only place I could afford - especially on short notice - , after the live pet death fines...
And had things not decided to get all spicy after I made dirtfall, I probably woulda gotten to know some of you.

Well I think the SK has to at least be somewhat physically adept to pull that off. I don't think Dana, Anabel or Jed could have unless they killed first and used a knife. From the fact the head appeared to be bashed into the wall enough to crack the skull I'm betting it was done with strength though.
As far as the Mafia - assume it was an airborne agent. We could try looking at everyone's bios to see who would have access to something like that, but it could also be assumed that as androids working together they could get ahold of that outside bio info. I think we are still missing something for the Mafia hit and I think cause of death is the thread we need to find.

I take that back. The blood starts in the Foyer and the torso is in near the entryway then gore trails to the living room which leads me to believe that whomever it was he didn't immediately let in - they killed him from the door and then started dismantling and spreading. Which means it could once again be anyone if a weapon was used. And where is the head? Who all would would he mistrust enough to not let in completely? Or had they simply gone to work the moment the door opened?

As he stood back up, he caught a strong chill and he instinctively rubbed his large hands up and down his thick, burly arms in an effort to warm himself. He was a short and heavily-built man, of mainly Russian decent.

He'd taken it once before, many years ago, and all the questions had been about animals, usually dead ones. It had been a thoroughly disgusting process and he was not looking forward to having to repeat it in the days ahead.
and the gray mark that might be a cigarette burn.
He leaned down and his thick fingers grasped the warm butt of the cigarette as he pushed it into the wet concrete, extinguishing its flame.

I noticed that too, but the way the story reads the grey matter is most likley brain tissue :( The others parts fit though, just doesn't seem like enough to really make me feel comfortable voting.
For that matter I'm a large guy and Caitlinn and Larene (just off the top of my head) love either animals or a cat.

I'm pretty strong, but Vulash is huge and athletic, although I don't think he has anything to do with this either.

So much hate for me today Jed has the access to the vents. He has no pet and might therefore resent anyone who he feels is mistreating theirs, real or fake. Also, his bio indicates that he does watch everyone and that he has at least a sense of mistrust for androids.
I am quite confident that Jed is the serial killer.
Incidentally, the death of Anabel's mother was YEARS ago. Not something that happened in the recent past.
I could tell you more about any person in this building than anybody else...things supposedly said behind closed doors, papers accidentally dropped in the halls, you name it. 'Course, it's probably just a lot of gossip...but with them "androids" runnin around you can never be sure if people are what they say they are.

You've come up with stronger evidence to tie other people to SK/mafia, but you chose to vote for her? I'm really curious about your decision.

I don't buy the other stories for the other suspects. Besides having a pet cat she is an EX cop that ran from aliens and made a 30 foot leap - she also hinted to be looking for someone. Overall it's mostly hunch honestly.
