The Confederacy of Dunces

I've not heard of it. What's it about?

Basically the short way to explain it is, it's about an obese 30 year old man who's lazy and doesn't want to do anything. It takes place in New Orleans around 1950s-1960s. His mom is in an accident so she has to raise money and forces this guy to get a job. He has a masters, but he's pretty closed off to society. Anyway though it's a comedy of sorts and it won a pulitzer prize a while back. It's a good book, but the beginning is kind of slow.
