Wow, totally not how I pictured them! Go figure *laughs*
The male looks a bit more convincing to me, I think mostly because the neck makes a smoother transition into the body.
More later :).
Nakÿng
I'm more a writer (actually I'm in the middle of a sci-fi series that Verileah has read two books of), but I thought I'd play around with Photoshop to attempt to visualize the aliens in my novels, called Native Teregans or Nakÿng (nah-KOON, approximately). Here are two of my first tries:

So, like, obviously Photoshopped to hell, but any comments?

Yeah, they're a bit tamer than I had imagined (and written about) them. But there's this, from my notes:
"Drones (warriors/laborers) are the largest of the race. They are about three meters tall, with triangular, ferret- or weasel-like faces and longish, horse-like ears set high on their skulls. Down their backs, to the base of their tails, runs a strip of bristling fur. Their tails start narrow and round but broaden and flatten till they taper off suddenly in a nearly pointed, hairless tip.
Males (builders/caretakers) are similar physiologically, but smaller with rounder faces, more bulging cheeks and longer noses. Their arms are longer and legs shorter, permitting quadruped-like locomotion. Their chest-plates are thinner and stand out less from their bodies. Their tails are slightly shorter than those of drones, and males stand about 2.65 meters on average.
Highborn are noticeably different, with only a vestigial tale and mouth pouch, less fur, longer and thinner fingers… Their faces are round, with patchy fur, and their snouts are snubbed like a ferret’s. They have no hair on their inner arms."

A slighter "tougher" version.

*nods* Better blending there too.
I want to see the drone's legs and tail! Also, it would be cool if you put something in the picture to give it scale.
White doesn't strike me as a very "jungle-like" color, but hell, what do I know.
I don't remember what their teeth were supposed to be like :\.
You shall have to send me Green again :P. I have it somewhere, but it's in separate chapters and I'm way to freakin lazy to piece it all together.

Hell, I'm too lame an artist to do their legs and tails! Yeah, the drone pictured is tannish, but with its winter coat... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Yeah, so I've got three pictures combined in that last one: ferret, zebra and bear. Just so you'll know.
