The man behind cinema posters
Found this off of NS - http://www.drewstruzan.com.
He's the man responsible for more of the most memorable movie theatre posters we grew up with. Amazing.

I have his book, THE MOVIE POSTERS OF DREW STRUZAN.
He hand-paints all of his posters. NO PHOTO MANIPS. It's really quite amazing, in my opinion. I'm sure he has reference photos on hand, but he captures the likeness of actors flawlessly.
He's like the John Williams of poster art.
Rob and I have a dream to have a home theater room in our house some day. We'll have a couple of those movie poster lightboxes and everything. We've started collecting the 27x40 double-sided movie posters that theaters display, and it's my goal to have a heafy number of Struzan's posters in our collection.
The posters themselves aren't expensive if you snatch them up when they are first printed in the months before a movie comes out, or during a movie showing. I'd say $20 to $30 is average. Finding the double sided one sheets for movies that have been out of the theaters for a while can be dificult and expensive, however.
Oooookay, now that I've babbled on about that for way too long.
Cheers!

Yeah, I love the man's work. There was another book put out by Dreamwave called Drew Struzan: Oeuvre. Though printing problems and the demise of the company caused quite a few botched copies to be released.
He pretty much defined how Harrison Ford would end up looking in the drawn media (I know a lot of artists try not to draw him the same way so they can make their own mark). And of course, being a more traditional artist I do have a soft spot for the more traditional artists.
