Spherized Borders - Tutorial

This is my spherized border tutorial. Just got lucky with it, really.

K, so select the marquee tool, make a NEW LAYER ABOVE YOUR BACKGROUND and select approx 10 pixels from the edge, then select inverse.

I rarely use the mask because quite honestly I haven't found another use for it. It is useful but...blahblah. Anyway, select quick mask (highlighted at the bottom of the tool option).

Then you go into your filters which are a GOLD MINE of fun things you can do, especially if you download more plug ins. Select spherize. Jack up the selection to 100 or experiment.

Undo the mask (highlighted again next to quick mask at the bottom of the tool options) and viola! You have the selected marquee in the shape of you sphere. =)
