Grouping in WOW

This is why I love my husband and appreciate the awesome...ness of duoing. I grouped last night with my lvl 15 priest in the dead mines with a bunch of fucking newbies. We at least had a lvl 47 warrior with 2k hit points. Imagine my disdain when I saw his hit points and my 700 mana. Yeah. Anyway. 2 mages in the group, one of which that replied, 'what?' when I asked for arcane intelligence. This was of course after I asked for it 5 times in group and i finally said, 'MAGE. ARCANE. NOW!'

So we go down and die. The gnome mage says he's going to wait for a rez instead of run down. I immediately hate my class that much more. I reply, 'Lazy.' So this little asshat says, 'hey if you hadn't assisted, we wouldnt be dead.'

Ok, so its on.

I reply, 'Ok trigger finger, you realize i'm healing YOU most of the time, right?'

No reply. He dies 4 more times. Truly, a tragedy. Really. The little fucktard gets most of the loot anyway, I swear random sucks ass. I win the frost cloak off of VC (omg yeah we actually did it). He sends me a tell, 'do you even have frost spells?'

'No, not currently.' Bats eyelashes.

I prefer duoing. I duo with my hunter on cenarion with Veb, gonna have an awesome threesome, human sandwich delight with Verileah's priest and Jinheim's warrior on icecrown. We're e-engaged, I'll send out invitations. I have no desire to group, I think eq killed that. Shadow priest all the way.

This is exactly why my husband and I duo 85% of the time. The rest of the time it's grouping with RL friends that play on our server that we know to be very competent, and if they aren't, can take us joking around with them about their mistakes lol.

People have actually accused me of not caring about my guild cause I don't want to group alot. They don't seem to understand the shear burn out that EQ creates when it comes to grouping, even with guildies.

When my husband and I group, we can afk when needed and camp when needed, without worrying about up to 3 other folks. Not to mention that him and I are so used to grouping together or with friends, that we hardly talk in group chat, cause we talk in RL. So people we don't know always seem to get frustrated with that. lol

I so feel your pain Mae. And Deadmines is rough if you don't pay attention. Anytime I help friends thru they are on strict orders to hang back and enjoy the scenery. Glad you got VC down though.

hehehe. Have you been to Gnomergan yet?

My mage, at 47, had 2400hp, and my paladin, now 41, has almost 2700.

Kayt (as her priest) did a bangup job healing my mage (at 55? at the time, 2600hp) as we creamed the dungeon.

Sorry you got asstastic groupmates, Mae.

LOL. My husband and I feel your pain Mae. He is a paladin and I'm a rogue. We've duo'd most of the stuff we've done. We still both hate gnomergan with a passion. lol

Play with guildies only. It was true of EQ and it's true of WoW.
That is all.

Oh...wait...unless you are with a group of guildies and you let an assnugget into your group. That is good laughs. Please see Veyah, Gilly, and Funyan...plus the sucky ranger from hell.

I will only play with my husband or I solo. EQ killed groupings for me also. I just prefer to be alone or with people I know aren't stupid.

Mae if I'm on, you know I'll help ya. :) That's one less asshat to deal with anyway. :)

I enjoy grouping with random people. Having done strath, scholo, ubrs, etc... each literally dozens of times, running through it with my guildmates is boring. We never make mistakes, all pulls are controlled, and we never wipe. All I do is stand in the back and shoot my bow for two hours and then we're done.

When you group with random people, you add an entire new element of fun. At any given time, someone might make a stupid mistake that results in catacylsmic failure and much excitement. You really have to push yourself and your character to survive these encounters, which is fun imho.

Interesting point of view Jin.... one I hadn't considered and worth exploring --- or at the very least --- opening up and trying to group once in awhile. :D

It depends on my mood. Usually I can't stand the idiocy of pickup groups, but occasionallyl I get a wild hair and tell someone yes just for fun when they ask me, even if I don't need it for exactly the reasons Jin posted - thats pretty rare though.

I USUALLY dont mind grouping with people except for 2 things.

1) I'm usually in a group where someone crys about NBG loot and not just rolling everything except blues. NBG is not mandatory, and if they dont get their loot I have to read a lot of bitching or watch people leave the group that took an hour to form because they didnt get a cloth hat GFD!

2) Nobody pays attention in said group and we end up not finishing the only 2 quests I have left in Uldaman! I've been through that motherfucker 6 times and still have 2 quests that I cant get finished. I'm good but I cant solo that bitch. I'm real close to just aborting those two quests.

======================

Would like to thank Cobert for helping me get my Searing Gorge key. Thanks also Cobert and Veyah for helping me find the quests there and getting a couple of them done.

Which two Uldaman quest Rikr? There is another one that you get after you kill the big stone guy at the end. It results in a 14 slot bag.
Rikr 21 years ago
The last stone guy, and one in the north part of uldaman. I have to...ummm find a treasure or a box or something.

I was in a group with two other guys. Me, a rogue, and something else and we got the last stone guy down to 5%. (Hes the one that wakes up his posse when he start taking damage right?) I was fucking livid, when we wiped. I think I'm full up on 14 slot bags, but would do it for the xp. So I guess i have 3 quests in Uldaman not 2. Great.
