You probably don't need quite that much power but its a solid PS and has that mail in rebate for a good price. Antec and Cooler Master are solid brands too. You can get PSs for like 20 bucks but the offbrands aren't nearly as stable and it's definately worth getting a good one.
Help me.
The power supply went out on my computer, and I really have no idea what I am looking for as far as buying something. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 if that helps.
I'll check back soon!

keep in mind alot of dell models are propriatery, meaning there setup to only take dell parts or knock-off dell parts.. not sure about that paticular model though..

Just about all Dell models after the XPS-D266/300 are proprietary power supplies.
The connectors can be slightly different (not likely that a new, say, Antec PS will fit a Dell MB), the pinouts are very likely different (very likely that a new non-Dell PS will fry your MB), and they are definately shaped different (and new PSes won't fit your case.).
