SW Mafia day 3 /ooc

NICE TRY, MAFIA.

Alright, here's the way I see it. The mafia tried to hit me for one of two reasons:

1) I'm picking up on too many clues and they want to shut me up.

2) I'm completely off base and the real mafia are trying to frame the people I have accused.

The problem with option #2 is that I haven't really pointed the finger at anyone besides Kashaal, and I don't know where to look next for mafia.

Honestly, I expected to get hit soon, and was hoping the doctor would pick up on that and throw me a save (THANK YOU). I even hinted at it in one of the bar scenes.

Here's some of what I picked up on:



Why would I miss high, rather than wide? Because the person I was shooting at was short. I said yesterday that one of the ewoks was evil and now I am even more convinced, I just don't know which one.

Also, the part where I miss is immediately followed by: "his gun felt small and weak in his grasp." I don't put much stock in these kinds of clues, but I think it is worth noting that ewoks are also small and weak.



Can anyone make anything of what happened here? Did they kick me in the back and then hit me in the arm with a lightsaber? I can't really tell.

That's all I can find right now, but I am sure there is more.

Also, I would like to invite the sheriff and doctor to get in touch with me. We have work to do :grin:

I agree with the ewok theory for now. Let's take a look closely at the rest of the scene for any possible further correpondences.

Game 1: Two mages in the EQ theme - we had mage clues - we lynched one the other lived and ended up being mafia.

Game 2: I don't remember

Game 3?: We had 2 clues to a music person as SK, and we lynched one and let me live. Who was the SK? me

There was another example but I can't remember it. Anyway we keep making this habit of figuring out clues and then lynching the wrong person and convincing ourselves that our clue was wrong.

Therefore i say lynch the other guy with the lightsaber!

I think in game 2 we lynched one of the cat people, and the other one turned out to be the SK.

Vulash can't recall game 2 because he got suckered in by me as the SK. =D There were clues all over but yeah we kept focussing on MEC i think it was. He was the only one that seemed to realize i was the SK.

I don't see anything in this kill that makes it necessarily follow that one of the mafiosi uses a lightsaber to try to kill Jinheim's character. I still think you're chasing a red herring here... we're all force adepts: why wouldn't many of us have lightsabers, even if our character posts don't mention them?

Okay, I hear the hrum of light sabers and blasters cocked but here goes:
I see 4 mafia --
Words and phrases that speak to me out of this one:

• Lighting was dim – Lian Si who enjoys seeing with another light spectrum
• Quiet is used two times – is in Lian Si’s own description
• Needed to lighten his own mood – another reference to dim/light
• Was at a dead end – Lian Si is the last of clone mistake
• He shot and missed high – I read that to imply something tall – Lian Si or the wookie
• Hair stood on end – might not be anything or may mean one of the attackers had hair (human or human like) -- rules out Rhaa maybe, maybe Lian Si, but could point to Opiannu by the picture or Kavitha by her mention that her hair was long enough to pull back. Skylar also has long hair but I find no other references that fit. Destai has curly hair which would be freaky to stand on end. I didn’t take into account the guys here….
• He smiled at the first one he saw – implies female before he realized it as a deadly mistake—I believe this is Lian Si
• He ‘steeled’ himself – again color of gray – Lian Si
• He sensed no mood change – most likely Lian Si and back to use of ‘quiet’, possibly the wookie if not angry.
• He was lost – he went right and should have been left. – this looks like a reference to the orphan Opiannu. This also fits as a choice or a ‘T’ for the light or the dark side.
• Several mentions of word ‘filth’ – Kavitha mentions purposefully not bathing
• Mention of a ‘lazy’ pace – the wookie Eikoowi works at a lazy slow pace dreaming of spice
• Mafia is Smuggler – Kavitha, Lian Si
• Mention of sobriety – implication that normally drank – primarily Kavitha
• Small and weak – sadly, this is probably an ewok…
• Mention of horizontal levitation on gurney – several mentions of horizontal levers for Kavitha

So, if I’m immediately knocked off, you’ll know I was ‘bang on’ or pretty darned close.

Went back through mafia hit #2 on Sebri:
* the wrong word for 'hear' may mean Opiannu, the canine with the hypersonic hearing.
* easily forgettable -- either a reference to human as Lian mentioned before or there is only one character write up that talks about forgetting --Miika
* less vulnerable -- because the ones in the room were so much taller/bigger making Sebri feel vulnerable?
* Sebri used foot locker to hit head of attacker -- if she was still studying perhaps she couldn't throw it high or far?? and the reference from foot to head was a reasonably short distance?
* there is mention in this one of street fighter stance which only goes to Targrin that I can see and I didn't see much else so might not be significant.
* bounty hunter -- Rhaa or Kavitha and more evidence points to Kavitha

Anyway, that's my two coppers -- wanted to get my tale/tail/tell out before dead men tell no tales....

Given the medium, I find it hard to put stock in mispelled words, myself. I've seen a lot of them since this began and if I tried to attribute every one to a particular player, I think we'd have to lynch ourselves. :/

What I'm saying is it'd be a cheesy thing to do to purposely typo a word on a text-based clue game, and call it a hint. :/

Then again, maybe I'm wrong and typoes are intentional. Ouch, I'd sure have to rethink some stuff in that case.

I can see where Hiejinx is coming from with the word "hear" and how it could be tied to Opianua... but there have been way too many spelling errors to start pointing out each one as a possible clue. Point out as you will... I can't stop you.

But... the earlier comment about my character being a possible suspect because she is an orphan. That is not what she is... she has a family back on her home planet that love her and sent her away to protect her. So just to verify... no... my character is not an orphan.

good point Opianua, I read it like you were alone and felt orphaned since you were sent away.
BUT, with that in mind perhaps the street fighter takes on more weight, and even the coming to a 'T' and back to Targrin?

Smugglers was part of the description in the main story right up. Lian Si in a scientist. Her race is white, tall, thin and no they do not have hair.

Yeah okay, pearly white? wearing grey? sounds like an EQ2 Erudite I know....I still say the 'steeled' might mean something.. I'll give you too that we are all attempting to pass for smugglers but not all bios say they are....

hmm..one seeming clue does not me a killer make, Fuzzy! :P


Just kidding.. well, not about the not be a killer.. I don't see many of them actually pointing my way honestly and for good reason but I think we could probably come up with some for everyone. The best question is who do all the posts so far seem to indicate?
