Family Sated - a poem
Pants are up, the shirt is down
Belt is hanging loose,
dangling from my waist
Like a confining dinner noose
Far too full my face I stuffed
With mushrooms sweet as candy
herb-y mashed potatoes fluffed
and filet, tender and dandy
Fries frenched crispy, tea iced chill
In the sausage and cheese quiche
Did I detect a hint of dill?
Meal's courses carried well
The family is now sated;
For Father's Day Dinner
I'm so glad we collaborated.
