Double Standards - a poem

Double standards you hold
Like a torch in your hand
Even when you are told
Such behavior I would not command
The bond found in love
is a connection I'm very aware of.
So when you tell me
The secret must be kept
Of where the sibling was
And in whose bed she slept
I feel as if I've been slapped
And I think that you should too
In this lie I do not wish to be trapped
When you don't trust me too.
