Disney World

End of this month I'm going here on my honeymoon with my dear husband. He has been a bunch, but I've NEVER BEEN. Yes, I know, I'm a blasphmer! lol. We've been married almost two years, but due to lovely sea duty, we couldn't take time off.

SOOO...Looking for advice on hotspots to hit! We will be going to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and MGM!

Thanks in advanced.

God you said dead husband and I was like, 'is she taking him in a little urn?' /bonk The Husband (oh no, i'm so wicked!) and I were planning on going to Disney World last year but went to Disney land and narrowly avoided all those hurricanes.

We went thru expedia.com to plan it. They set the whole thing up for you and you print all the vouchers at home. Take a peek at that site and let us know what you end up doing and how it was =D

lol god, I can't type when drugged up on pain killers. My husband is very much alive, knock on wood, and is being the lovely pain in the arse sailor I love. =)

And I will hopefully have pictures to post of our adventures.

LMAO! I was wondering about the dead husband also.

I really enjoyed Epcot and Disney World.. been to the latter a few times. I guess it depends on what you like in the way of amusement parks. Wild scary rides, shows or just fun rides?

Just fun ideas! I won't be able to do alot of the really fast rides cause of my back.

I've never been to either either!!!! :( Mike's gone a ton when he was a kid and isn't at all interested in going ever again. But I've requested that he go with me when the little noodle is old enough to appreciate it :)

The Magic Kingdom is good to do once, especially if you're a Disney fan, and especially if you've never been. There's lots of stuff to look at, and shops to go to, and the magical parade at the end is neat, with the fireworks. I don't reccomend more than one day there.

I could spend all day in Epcot, because there's just a ton of cool things to see in all the different nations. They have neat shows you can watch everywhere. Last time we caught some Chinese Acrobats. Coolest thing I'd ever seen. There was a little girl who could literally fold herself in half. They also have a laser and fireworks show that takes place over the lake in the center. It's pretty cool.

MGM is neat, but if you're not big on rides, I'm not sure how much time you'll want to spend there. They have some non-fast movie rides, but I don't recall how many and which. Their Fantasmagoria show at the end of the day is worth staying for. Water and lights and acting. Probably my favorite disney show.

I'm not sure how long you'll be staying, but maybe look into visiting Animal Kingdom - again, just awesome to look at, tons of neat parades and shows. I haven't been for years so I don't remember a whole lot about it, the big thing I remember was marching through the place with the rest of my marching band and how hot it was, but they did have cool safari-like rides which took you pretty close to the animals.

Also, remember to take a day off and hit the beach at least once =) Walking around theme parks all day really wears you out, so plan a day to relax.

Also, if you haven't already, look into the Park Hopper pass. If I understand it's function correctly, it allows you to visit several of the different parks with one ticket. I think there's a reduced price for it as well.

I hope you have a great time! You'll enjoy it. It holds magic for both kids AND adults =)

Epcot is definitely the best of the three, imo! If you're at all into the big back to the Future ride at MGM my advice is to go get on line first thing in the morning, or you're gonna have to wait about 3 hours for it.

Epcot was definitely the best of all 3 though. :<3

epcot for the win part 2!

im not a huge ride fan, but the magic of being immersed in the disney world at magic kindom is lovely. Tinkerbell comes down from the castle and its cute!

i liked the indoor little mermaid show, they rain on you a tad but its nice to be out of the heat ^.^

Its always best to go in the fall if you can help it, there's like NO ONE. We went to DisneyLand like in March (hi2U spring break) and May (HICROWDSMEMORIALDAY). We went in sept and we had the park to ourselves.

:thumbsup

Epcot is the best. followed very closely by animal kingdom IMO. the indoor ride at animal kingdom is teh best ride in the park. (at least was when i was there) Also one of teh waterparks just for chilling. forget the name but its right in the center of them all iirc
