Bland Food.

I like Taco Bueno over Taco Bell, but they don't have any in Austin. We have Taco Cabana all over the fookin place, though. They're not bad, but I miss Bueno. I go every time I'm in the DFW area. Sad I know.

I would suggest complaining, you might get free food out of the deal. Short of that it looks like a visit to the vending machine is in your future.

No Taco Buenos here in Iowa :( Just Taco Bell and Taco John's.

Iowa has some of the most bland food you'll ever find. There's a lot of Czech heritage here and also Amish. Folks here put vinegar in everything! I was at my bf's family reunion and some fool had put vinegar in the deviled eggs. I am not making this up. All of the food was brown, beige, blah. Ick.

I love color and flavor and spice in my food, although I hardly ever put salt on anything - I like the natural flavor of food. I've been suffering here :( The Midwestern palate is teh suck.

Anulien is right. The best Mexican food doesn't come from a fast food place.

Yup, good Tex Mex comes from the small and not necessarily very attractive looking places. As a avid fan (I could eat it for every meal every day, trust me) I may not have had a taco bueno before but.. fast mexican food is mediocre at best.

Stay home and make your own food. That's what I do :)
