Would anyone be interested?

I had an idea for the artists here. Would anyone be interested in having their artwork put onto a t-shirt? We could start a service where the .jpg's can be printed onto t-shirts (using iron-on transfers at home or going through an actual screenprinting company).

Just a thought. I've done it with a piece of art I really liked and also have made t-shirts for my nieces using cool artwork. It turns out pretty nice with iron-on transfers. I don't think it would be too expensive - $5-10 for the t-shirt, depending on size requested, $2 for the iron-on transfer and printing fee (getting the .jpg printed at a good printing place rather than on a home printer), and shipping.

I'm willing to do it if anyone wants one!

I was thinking about using this service (if I ever created anything worth printing.)

Sure, for like marketing your artwork on tees. But, I'm talking about making t-shirts for people's own private use. So say I created this great 3d desktop, and I want it on a t-shirt. I would print it onto an iron-on transfer, then put it on a t-shirt for me to wear, not to sell in mass production.

That was what I was offering, if people wanted their own artwork on t-shirts for themselves or family members or whatnot )

Ah ok...I misunderstood sorry bout that. Are they durable? do they crack / fade easily? I might be interested. :)

About 2 years ago I put a simple design of mine on a white t-shirt and it faded after about a year, but you can still read it and see the picture. The trick is to wash the t-shirt or sweatshirt inside-out, then the iron-on doesn't crack or fade as quickly. But if you wash it right side out it may crack or fade.

I don't think cafeexpress.com is about mass distribution...isn't that the site Mae uses for the TAC pictures? You can buy single tshirts.

Ok I'm sorry I wasn't clear in my original post :)

What I am suggesting is that if anyone wants one picture of their artwork, on one t-shirt for their own personal use, we (or just me) can start a service to provide that.

Cafepress is for selling your work to multiple people, not getting one pic on one t-shirt for yourself.

Sorry I was confusing!!

Oh I know that's what it's for...but you can use it for the other purpose. You can put up for sale a particular tshirt and a particular person, or yourself, can buy it from there. Sure, it allows other people to buy it if they want it or if you leave it up that long...but I guess it's a matter of do you care or not.

That reminds me...I never did buy that TAC onesie you put up for me Mae ;)

Cafepress.com is free, anyone can set up a store and TAC does in fact have have a store which is linked up top. It's great for your own personal work, but not for copyrighted manip'd art. I wanted a TAC shirt for myself and Cafepress is pretty nice, even for just 1 single shirt. =)
