Who is your favorite Firefly character
For me it is a tossup between Shepherd Book and Mal.
Book is the most mysterious character out of anyone on the ship. I am positive when they unviel his past life (hopefully they will in this movie) not a single person will be disappointed. My opinion on him is he was/is an EXTREMELY important person for the alliance who has found God and wants to see the 'verse with his new understanding on life.
And Mal is a sarcastic asshole and will do anything to keep his crew alive; even while being tortured. How can you not respect that.

I adore Simon (to the shock of no one I'm sure). He loves his sister and is willing to give up everything and anything for her. How can you not <3 Simon? He is also dashingly handsome (if at times overdone) and genuinely sweet (if awkward) and intelligent (if naive).

Kaylee.
Smart, hot, amazing under the hood.
Though, I agree, Book will be one interesting revelation.

For me, it's a tossup between Jayne and Wash. Wash is cute, very funny, and wimpy in a can't-help-it sort of way.
Jayne gets the great one-liners and has a gun named Vera. Hard to beat that.

I can't believe how addicted you are to this show...I've only watched part of a couple episodes though. Maybe there is more there than I thought?

Only half of the show was aired on Fox, and those pricks didn't even air them in the right order adding for a lot of confusion. Watching the season in order is like watching a 12 hour movie.

Joss Wheadon shows must be watched in order...that much I know.
Perhaps that's why I didn't get into it. I was actually surprised that I didn't since I was such a big Buffy fan.

An amazing show that was cancelled before it could build any type of fan base. I didn't learn of the greatness of this show until recently myself.
The best $34.99 you will ever spend:

It had a pretty big fan following...mostly Buffy/Angel fans of Joss Wheadon who were crying irl over the premature cancellation of those two shows. It is nothing short of a crime that Wheadon hasn't received any awards for his works.

My favorite character might be Jayne, simply for the line "I'll be in my bunk."
