What you can do to help with Katrina
I for one feel so blessed, in the mist of this huge tragedy, I get to go to work today to a job I love, I get to hug my son in the hallways, and I have a frig stocked with food, roof over my head and clothes on my back and in my house in my closet. I know where my love is even if he's not with me, I know he is safe. These things we take forgranted everyday, daily gifts.
So many people are hurting right now, imgaine not knowing where you kids are, not being able to leave your house, not having a house, sewage water surrounding the city, people looting and killing each other.
It's almost too much to bare.
If you go to the www.redcross.org you can make a donation right now. Cash is what they need, its difficult to transport water and clothes but are still greatly appreciated. Money is just easier to transport and then it can be spent on what is needed and where.
Personally, my church is sending a crew over there tomorrow and they will go get 5-7 families and bring them here. The church owns 2 houses and figures they can fit 2-3 families in each, we are opening up the school to any orphans and kids of the familes to attend. Many families are eager to take people in their homes.
If you would like you can make a donation to my church for what it will cost to have the famillies over here, bills, food, clothes. I 'm not saying " Give me your money" but just if you had thought, what can I do? where can I give?, i think this is noble donation. You can send it to me through paypal at
Please understand I am not taking money for myself, and I am not keeping any of it =D hopefully most you know me well enough to know how my heart is. It will be put to good use.
Thanks for your time,
Huggles--
