newb alert!

Ok i did our guilds webpage, mind you just the basic html stuff but I am wanting to add like a roser info page wehre you can log in and update the character lvl, then also for the officers to be able to post news articals w/o having to bug me to load stuff up. Basicly .. i have to friggin clue wtf i need to learn now my guess is php huh. Anyone know what i am wanting here? lol our page is here http://valiantsouls.homestead.com would like to keep it along those same lines but just add where the officers can with news and update it rathr then havin to rely on me to do it all =/

i looked aroudn on the wen links but didnt see what I was wanting or maybe i did see it and just didnt realize it lol :(

If i can find the basic set up for it then I can usualy figure out how to work it fairly easy :)
