First real attempt

Alright, here is what I have spent the last few hours on:

It started out with me exploring all the freebies I have downloaded so far, and I stumbled across this altar. I was curious if I could sit someone on it, so I tried for it, and things just went from there as I added clothes, hair, a background, and some props.

The big gap behind her bangs where you can see her scalp is driving me nuts. Once I find my copy of PS I will try and fix that. Also, I tried to have her bangs blowing in the wind with the rest of her hair, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted. Other than that, I am pretty happy with the way her hair and dress responded, but I welcome other opinions and suggestions.

I am also looking for any other simple C/C that you guys might have. You aren't going to hurt my feelings, but please remember that I am very new to this and anything complicated is likely to go right over my head. I basically just want to use this piece as a venue for testing out new techniques as I learn them, meshing them together and improving on them until I have something pretty cool that I could possibly use as a wallpaper.

I'm so proud you. /sniff

C/C:

Highlights and shadow isses: the goblet could use a spot light, the sword needs high lights and a shadow, highlight on her hair holder thingies. You already mentioned postwork, the bangs could use some.

I like her pose and VERY good lighting on this. Very dramatic. Smooth out her skin on her left arm maybe.

:thumbsup Seriously for a poser beginner, I'm extremely impressed. I know I couldnt do something like that now after playing with poser a couple months. :bow

so, is her dress blowing up like that because she had mexican for lunch?

Very very good for the first attempt to be sure....I didnt even know how to do a background on my first try....*laughing*

I am worried about the bangs...but that was addressed...and a little encouragment...its hard to get the windy styles right...so dont fear.

It should always be windy in dungeons, imho.

Yeah, there is really no reason for there to be wind in this scene, but I wanted to play with it so I didn't really care.

It looks like she let one rip. A big one. Pa would be proud.

=\

lets try not to ridicule the art, regardless of the artist, alright ?

screw the h8trz Jin.. I like the windy look. But I would tone down the curve of the underside one of the flaps, it isn't quite right, there shouldn't be such a harsh bend at the one point I think.

Listen, I know that I project a bit of an immature, jokester personality in general chat forums, but I have never and will never mock another person's artwork. You guys don't even do art, so you have even less right than anyone else to ridicule something I spent hours working on.

Looking good hun. I dont have any CC to add other then i think the end of her dress there should go down a bit to match the flow of her hair other then that (and mentioned above cc) its all i can come up with =P Keep up the great work :)

Jinheim was the first person to give me detailed c/c. I e-cried and wanted to punch him in the face, but admittedly it was helpful and quite professional.

I'm in awe. :) I think her shoulders look a little... sunken in? And there's something odd happening where her left arm goes in front of her leg (the line of the leg bulges out and I think it's supposed to be smoother).

It's really cool though. The right hand looks really good, I think, the fingers look very sensitive.
