Cell phone companies!! ACK which way to go!

So I've been with Sprint for almost 6 years and have never had any problems with them but lately they are just not competitive with other plans out there by other companies.

So my phone is on the brink of breaking and it's time to get a new one! since everyone and their mother offers a free phone I thought it might be time to switch~!

But Who?! :browse

Cingular?

T- Mobile?

Verizon?

Sprint again?

any suggestions / or anyone definalty have bad stories about a company / or exceptionally good ones!!

Help!

I really hate to be the one that rains on your parade with donkeyballs but... http://www.cingular.com/about/company_overview

look under "Ownership."

Yeah...I looked it up after I read your post. Suckage at 60% ownership. Maybe it's the other 40% that makes it not be donkeyballs. Hehe and all this time I've been cursing Verizon. Though I do have some friends who are pretty bitter about Verizon and their customer service. My theory is they all suck but sometimes some people get lucky.

SBC has the LONGEST tech holding time in US. I used to hate having to call them to fix a circuit. We would start casting lots at the office for people who had to call them and make one person sit on hold for everyone's trouble tickets.

On the upside.. their tech support has some of the best hold music as I recall. You could tell who was on the phone with Verizon because they were falling asleep to the classical music. (hopefully they've changed that.)

I deal with T-Moblie and Sprint at work, used to have ATT before they got bought by cingular.

Honestly, after all that. I have been with Verizon for 4 years now, and will not switch. Cheap plans, great reception, excellent customer service.

Verizon > All.

PS-> Consumer reports agrees with me.
