A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers
Yeah, I swear that's the title.
I suppose this is considered the sort of book that one would read while sitting in a Starbucks wearing cargo pants with an ipod...however that rant of Anulien's went :). However, I think this is proof that some books are "in" because they are actually pretty damn good. This is a story told with the massive ego and equally mountanous insecurity of a twentysomething man trying to deal with fatherhood and generally getting his act together in the wake of his parent's death. I suppose, being a young parent myself, I empathize to some extent, but I think there is likely something for everyone :).
I might actually have to get together some favorite quotes for this...we'll see, every time I try I end up with something way too long :X.
