Or Daryl.
I have always gotten a dog and let them find thier own names. Take a few weeks and see what type of personality he has. My Last dog was extremely mischievous. Therefore I named him Loki after the god of Mischief.
S
We always just stood on the side walk of the humane society and called names at it until it responded. :D
Except Joy, she was an AKC Doberman that we had bred, and kept as the family pet. Yes, I grew up on a Doberman Farm. No it was not a puppy mill. Our dogs had spacious runs and only had one litter per year.
OOO sorry, I almost always have to go through that when I tell people we bred Dobermans when I was a kid.

I'm a fan of "Scratch Fury, Destroyer of Worlds" but then again, that's a cat's name.
How about...
"Digger Muchlymutt, Purveyor of all Six Feet Under" ?

Our dog is named Rudy.
RUDY, down!
RUDY NO!
Sit Rudy, Sit!
Rudy, come!
Rudy, go potty!
Rudy, outside!
Rudy, off!
Rudy, Rudy, RUDY, RUDY, RUDY!
Each name you think you like, say all of those things with it. Then just shout the name out loud a few times. Even go outside and shout it across the street. This sounds silly, but you'll be calling this name, shouting this name, and repeating this name a billion times.
Make sure it doesn't start to make you cringe.
Coco would make me ill if I had to say it over and over again.
I like Coz, though.
and Koda.

That being said I hope you live in an area where it doesn't get too warm for too long. Mae and I have a Husky/Black Lab mix and once it starts to warm up(~late May) the husky part of the dog really kicks in and you will have a shedding dog until it starts to cool off. In all seriousness she vacuumed the house at least every day. Huskies shed worse than the worse cat.
