WoW's raid force is designed for a max of 40 people. Groups only allow 5 people. So you won't have lagfests like in EQ needing 80 something people to beat an encounter.
So far, there are lots of instanced dungeons/zones, which all have elite (boss-type) mobs. if you're wanting to grind, taking a grp to these areas would be ideal, as you get approx. 3x the exp for an elite mob.
So i think the 7day wait for named spawns is out of the question
Its incredibly easy to get to 10. You start out tougher in the beginning, and get those noob levels over with, but it does slow down eventually. You reach a point where finishing a quest doesn't give you 1/3 of your level. Blizzard has a way of getting you to grind, but with a purpose. Not just to obtain the next level, for spells, talent points, etc. But for money, for items. Quest rewards the way they should've been in EQ.
WoW is really the "ever quest". I encountered this quest line ( 13 steps total ) @ lvl 26. 12 of the 13 steps was running around to different people, It got me at least 1/2 a level. ( ~ 14k xp ) These are obscenely rare from what i can tell, since its the only one i've encountered in alliance territory, and i can't finish it till i'm 35.
But the game isnt going lightning fast anymore. Maybe its because i'm playing an unfinished class, and not playing 24/7 like i would've in EQ, but its still very fun and it doesnt feel like EQ for dummies. Quests don't always mark the NPC now ( they used to, but for the most part that has been largely disabled ) and quests don't always tell you where to go next.
i dont think its a bad game, although, i wish they had bards and/or shadowknights, and blood elves
