Extreme Makeover Home Edition
Has been in Boardman OH all week which is by where I live. We went down to the site a couple days and today was the reveal day. I stood on that stupid street from about 7am until 9pm tonight. Was an expierence but man what a long day.
My friend lives a block over so we got to park close and when we were going to leave around 6pm after the family had come home and everyone dissapeared into the house we heard the surprise act rehearsing. The rumor was that it was Kid Rock and he would be driving a new Harley down to the house for the Father of the family. The person was only 3 houses down the blocked off street we were on though and it wasnt Kid Rock, it was Uncle Cracker. So we figured we'd stay and made our way back over to the house and up to the front of the crowd which was now only hundreds compared to the thousands that were there earlier. So we waited to see Uncle Cracker do "Follow Me" and for them to give the harley to the father. (which im sure you all understand is about 10 takes, not "hey heres your harley" and its done) Also to sing Happy Birthday to Ty. It was pretty cute cuz the oldest girl got up on the flatbed and sang with Uncle Cracker and there was a firework display.
Right now I'm thinking it was the stupidist thing I have ever done but I'm sure I'll look back on it when it airs and think "cool, i was there". But right now 14 hours standing on hard dirt and concrete has my back telling me different. LOL.
Oh in case anyone was wondering, the show is supposed to air in Dec. and like I said its in Boardman, OH. The story is of a Father of 3 girls (6 years old-Zoe, 2 years old-Harley and 5 months old-Preston) where the wife died just weeks after giving birth to their last baby. (In May)
I think the big reason we got the show to come to our area (NE Ohio Mahoning Valley which consists of Youngstown, Warren, Boardman and lots of little suburbs is old, old area with lots of shut down steel mills and etc, really a dead economy) is because Kraftmaid is located near here (my husband actually worked there at one time) and if you watch the show you know they always make the cabinets for all the houses Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

I didn't give Disneyland that much in a given day and I paid money for that.

on the bright side you got to be apart (no matter how tiny) of something really special to someone. They heard your cheers and it gave them hope and courage to face their new home without the mom. Besides it was an experience!

Actually I'm more inclined to believe that most men wouldn't really want to have this go on and just suffer through the tediousness of all it to get through to the final payoff, so to speak.

"Oh, let me take out the TV, because the living room is for entertaining, and put in some pillows and paint the wall black"
I've seen some good stuff done, but the majority of it has been utter, utter shit.
Oh and don't get me started on that show where they make the guy put on the shirt that says "Its all my fault". I swear to god if Mae did that I'd get in my Jeep and leave. Screw that bullshit.
