are you working in D|S? If so, what setting do you have your render quality at? Or, if you're in Poser.. have you checked anti alaise? (or however it's spelled).. The edges seem pixelated, and that's usually the cause.

When I see this I find myself wondering what the light sources are.. I would suggest moving them out so they were off the edges of the shot, and maybe turning them to line up some with the light beams that are visible in the background.

In addition to what's been said, my c/c would be that her hair should be floating a little if she's underwater, right? Great job on the light waves and her hand posing. She doesn't have that blank poser stare which is nice too. I know I got some of those. Keep em coming!
