Janis Joplin

Anyone in Cincy area theres a cool play about Janis Joplin playing until mid Nov there. My friend plays the part of the singing Janis for all the night shows and most of the weekly shows.
The play is national, I saw it in Louisville and it was awesome. I hear Cincy audiences are a little uptight but the play will be making stops all over the US. After Cincy is Cleveland, OH and after that is San Fran.

Heres the link to the Cincy show http://www.cincyplay.com/shows/season/s1/index.php and this isnt your typical "play" setting.

Janis Joplins brother Michael was at the opening night of the national tour in L'ville and he told me he literally had tears in his eyes watching Kat (Katrina Chester) sing and act Janis on stage that it was like watching his sister. Kat also has also worked with alot of bigger names, a short list would be Godsmack, Saliva, 3 Doors Down, she did TSO for several years and there are many many more. Her father was also one of the most recorded session drummers of the 50's and 60's (Gary Chester). Shes def worth checking out. Shes working on a blues album atm and had previous put out several albums with her old band LUXX (who includes Ian Hattan from Jason Bonham). Her website is www.katrinachester.com
