Future Firely TV/movies? (serenity spoilers)
I was thinking about it. There's been talk of two more movies being made if Serenity did well enough in theaters. I was wondering where they could possibly go from here? It seems like in Serenity, a lot of loose ends got tied up and subplots got resolved.
Shepard Book is dead.
Wash is dead.
River is sane.
Kaylee and Simon finally got together.
Jayne finally fought for a cause, rather than for money.
Mal finally got to stick it to the Alliance.
What made the show great was that there was so much conflict and tension between the crew, even while they were struggling against other outside forces. With so much of that conflict now resolved, I can't think of where the series could go from here while still sticking to its roots.

2. Mal + the whore chick
3. The Alliance may seek retribution for releasing their secret
4. The Reavers still exist...what is to become of them?
5. River and Simon's parents...what's the story there?
That's just off the top of my head. Don't forget, Joss Whedon is the master of introducing new characters. Anyone who's familiar with the Buffy and Angel series knows that there were characters that came in and out of those story lines who became permanent parts of the story as a whole...including bad guys. The 'verse is a big place...endless amounts of storylines and conflict that can arise.
