Would like some feed back.
I have been playing around with a new technique or two for painting hair. I would really like some feed back on what you all think about it and where improvements might be needed. Thank you in advance for your help. Also, thank you Veri for your help.

What brush are you using to draw the hair? It does have a natural look to it, but at the same time it looks very coarse. How do you do your strokes? I've noticed that if you do your strokes from one end to the other without a break, it gives it a more flowing look.
I might run the natural 14pt brush on smudge over the whole thing to smooth it out.

Thanks Mae. i use several brushes actually. for the individual strands, I typically use a soft round ranging in size from 1-3 pts. I then smooth a bit with a natural brush, usually the 12, 14, 19, or 21 point. I alternate those as well for more natural texture. Bottom layers are just straight paint hair smooth, next layer. After a few of those, I do more layers only I then go over them in the highlighted areas with the dodge tool, natural brush set at about 25-30%. Then I smooth some more. usually very lightly on the smoothing so that i don't blend away the texture. I have been trying for more realistic. The overly smooth super shiney that you often see, even from me, is pretty but not natural so I have been trying to break away from that. But given the distance, you might not see that much texture I will try a very low intensity blending or blur and see if that helps a bit. Thank you for help.

The first thing I thought was that the hair looked very natural. Great job!
Someday someone will have to translate all the comments on how you talented people do these things into something I can understand. ;)

Adiene that is actually one of the tutorials I based mine on. That and this one, www.liquidwerx.com/hair_tut.htm. Add in some dodge and burn because I am lazy and get tired of strand work quickly and that will pretty much sum up what I did. Thank you for the link though. :D
