Dark elf SK - Completed

Completed images in last post!

This one is gonna be interesting LOL Her husband commissioned this for part of her Christmas present. So I'm not going to be posted the final images with text on them until after Christmas ;) He requested the background and her unholy steed to be part of the image because they are both things that she loves.

What I am having a difficult time with thus far is the lighting. (Yes, I know I always struggle with that) Is this too dark? Too light? Too unnatural? What?!?!?

BTW it is rendered without shadows right now. Due to all the armor pieces, it takes awhile to render out. Need to drop the subtle hint for more RAM for Christmas!!!

I would say, oh add a backlight to show the moon shining on her.. but the moon is not really bright enough for it.

Wow, well without the shadows...it's pretty damn nice lol. The unholy steed looks awesome, so does her pose with it. One thing that threw me off was the way the horse's legs were posed. It looks like it's falling onto her or at least leaning. Love her hair and her armor../whistles. Fucking sweet. Wish I could see more of her sword but even the hilt is perfect.

With the shadows, i'd darken up the background more, just light from the moon. So her armor is reflecting kinda weird now. There'd be more light on her shoulder, rather than on her chest.

I'd maybe thicken up that strand of hair over her eyes. Hair isn't typically see thru or maybe have it whipping back the other way, behind her head. SO yeah, reverse the lighting, darken the ground and horse up some. Put a shine on the face armor and put red eyes on it. Fucking A, awesome. =)

Thanks guys :) I'll work on this some more in the morning when my eyes are open LOL I probably won't hear back from the client until Monday since he's having me send previews to his work email so she won't see any hehe

Ok did some pose tweaking due to the client asking for some way to incorperate in epic 1.5. It's in there but still needs some work to make it blend in. I also played around with the lights ... and ended up adding some more in with postwork LOL

wow sunbur, that is just sexy.

what about making some flaming eyes for the horse? I know its not EQ-like, but its a major turn on and screams evil steed =) Great work on the moonlighting, but i would add some to her arm/shoulder as well.

like the bg/light changes as well as the changed to her hair being ouf of that purdy face. Not sure how i like the way shes holding the epic tho =X i would have thrown it up on her back lol but then again I'm not a big fan of the sk epic either lol i think i dont like her holding it like that because of that tree trunk in the background, it kinda blends in with the epice and makes you think wtf ... lol Horsey eyes need more glowy effect!! yeah! :D

Oh oh, steam coming out of the horses nostrils!!! Just a real soft puff of mist. That would flipping ROCK. Ok I slacked off on updating this hehe But I did get it completed in time for Christmas!

Portrait preview - this is printed out as 11x14 and looks GORGEOUS!!!

That came out beautifully, sun! Future reference, do the steam out of the nose and the glow on the eye the next time! =D

Oh hell... I ought to just resize the full image so you can see what it looks like LOL Forgot I didn't do the flaming hooves or the steam in the previews!
