Okay, not website stuff. But what exactly are you doing for Marvel? What is your job description, and how did you get it?
Awesome stuff, thanks for posting the scans.
Man, I feel so official
Got an envelope int he mailbox today. It had Spider-man swinging across the front of it. Inside was a short letter from the IT department of Marvel giving me my ftp login info and password and stressing that I am not to lose it or compromise their security.
It's just restoration work, but kinda cool saying one of my jobs is that I work for Marvel. :)

There's a line of books called Marvel Masterworks. They're basically reprints of old classic comics. Well, printing standards weren't as great back then so some of them look a bit off. Plus, some of the original sources are yellowed to all hell.
So what they do is reconstruct the old line art and send them to grunts like me who recolor and seperate it using today's standards without all the shifted plates and misprints. heh. Like I said, nothing too special. I'm pretty much a colorist/re-colorist.
I got the job when I saw a post on one of the other message boards I visit. They were leaning towards people with experience and references at marvel but gave me a shot. They sent me 5 pages, I sent them back colored the same day. That's pretty much it.
ncidentally, this isn't my only coloring gig. It's just the one at the company that people know. lol I'm currently doing work for Bluewater Productions as well as Speakeasy Comics :)

Very cool. A buddy of mine runs the music licensing department for activision video games. He got an MTV award last year for Tony Hawk Underground. Kinda funny becuase it was the first project he did under thier roof as well. He had his own comapny and they bought him out.

Here's one of the sample pages I had to do. It's not really heavily taxing work other than quantity. (I have to have 50 pages redone and turned in by the 22nd)
