I'm dreaming ...
Of a white Christmas.
Really, I am. I live in Nashville. We don't get snow here. I miss Indianapolis and Washington D.C. winters. I love snow!
What's your Holiday Wish? :)

Snow would be fun...we don't get it here in Sacramento either. However, I'd so much rather have the ENTIRE family together for the day. We haven't had that since...1985!

To get moved into the new house before the snow starts. I hate being outside and cold!

I will take pictures of the snowstorm we get tonight and the snow on the lit trees in downtown Chicago and post them for you all to enjoy :)

I wish we didn't live so far from all of our family. I have this Christmas and next before that wish comes true.

That's what would kill me when I lived in MN. We'd get all this damn snow and life would go on. I was dying for a school day. I moved down to Georgia, and I've seen schools get shut down over a hard frost.
It's crazy.
As for me, I'm dreaming of a safe and smooth flight to Minnesota to visit my family. I get very nervious about flying when it's snowy. I keep imagining -> This (clicky) <- happening.

It snowed here for 3 days straight, then dumped another 4 or so inches on us. We had 4 inch thick ice crashing off the roof of this house/building I'm in. I fell flat on my ass in the parking lot of the vet yesterday, however, I did get to see a three legged pit bull so it was worth it.
Ya'll don't know snow till you've lived an alaska winter. It fucking rocks, I love it. The trick to driving in it is to give yourself 10 car lengths from the guy ahead of you, don't do the speed limit and brake soft. I did discover that the ABS can cut on in reverse yesterday. WHODDA THUNK IT?
/hugs snow

Yeah I was really sad last night about that plane crash. So far there's only one dead...a 6 year old boy who was on the road OUTSIDE of the airport. No one on the plane was hurt. Poor baby :( I don't know why they were still running flights last night! I've seen O'Hare shut down if it looks like it MIGHT snow. Midway hasn't had any sort of accidents in 33 years so I guess they figured they were safe or something.

It's like that here, too. I'm used to winters in D.C. where we went to school in the snow all the time. It rained in Nashville all day yesterday and it WAS cold last night so roads were a bit icy, but nothing serious in my opinion ... yet there were lots of schools closed or on delays today.
I guess people around here just don't know how to drive on ice. Actually, people around here don't know how to drive AT ALL. I've lived in a lot of places (Florida, Virginia, D.C., Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee) and by far the worst drivers I've ever seen are here.
Post those snow pics when you get them! I shall live vicariously through you!
