Hogwarts Mafia Round 5 Mafia Hit
Hogwarts :: Entrance :: Briare
Briare Blackwood crept down the staircase and out the door, smiling at the ease of her escape. Where were all the teachers? One would think that –someone- would care about all the students wandering out after hours, breaking rules…killing each other…but so far it seemed the staff wasn’t taking any extra measures at all. Perhaps they were all under a spell of some sort?
Briare shrugged. So much the better for her; at least she could come and go as she pleased. She was about to take a walk down to the lake, in fact, when the sound of voices stopped her in her tracks. She turned to face the noise, stepping backward into a small alcove as she watched the group of kids approach. It looked like trouble was brewing.
Excellent.
Hogwarts :: Forbidden Forest :: Mafia
“So they got back alright?â€Â
“Yeah, Mr. Malfoy is back in his Manor, pissed as hell by the way.â€Â
“We get any instructions?â€Â
“Just that our next plan better not fail.â€Â
The group of students looked at each other, then at the snowy ground. In the distance they could hear the sounds of the forest; the snapping of twigs and the wind moving through the trees. After a long moment someone finally spoke, tentatively.
“Any ideas?â€Â
No one answered.
“Well. We’re nowhere; let’s go back to the castle and get some sleep.â€Â
Hogwarts :: Entrance :: Briare, Mafia
The group made their way to the Hogwarts Entrance with reasonably little incident and started up the steps, whispering quietly.
“Well well well. What have we here? Sneaking out after dark?â€Â
The students froze as Briare Blackwood stepped out of the shadows, twirling her wand and regarding the group with a calmly beatific expression. If not for the smirk threatening to break, she might have looked sweet and innocent, with her cheeks rosy from the cold and her eyes wide with contrived curiosity. Finally one of their number stepped forward, wand likewise brandished but with a good deal more intent.
“You can’t tell us what to do. Let us by.â€Â
Briare pretended to consider this ridiculous order for a span of about two seconds before meeting the speaker’s eyes, her voice going cold and hard.
“No, I don’t think I will. You see, it would be very irresponsible of me not to call for Filch. For your own good, you know. In these dangerous times…†Briare trailed off, feigning thoughtful sadness, before shaking her head as though to clear it. “…well, you just can’t be too careful.â€Â
“Oh, put a sock in it! Telling –us- what to do, the nerve of some people!â€Â
Briare grinned and took a deep breath, opening her mouth to yell at the top of her lungs.
Another in the group rushed forward and let a flash of searing flames erupt from their wand, burning Briare to cinders within moments. The others looked toward the murdering student, somewhat surprised at the sudden action and the unusual spell.
“I don’t have time for her nonsense. Let’s go to bed.â€Â
