PLZ HELP MEH!!!!

www.dafont.com - that's where i get 99 percent of my fonts. You just gotta go through ALL the catagories and keep an open mind when you see something funky. A lot of us interchange one letter from one front and a bunch from another to make it a unique looking style.

Post your WIP - When you're working on something, it doesn't help to show us the end result with postwork on it. There'd be no point, other than to comment on future endeavors. If you post low resolution stages, we can be more help.

Lighting - Start with 1 spotlight. Prepackaged lights are nice and all but they're a pain in the ass. If you want dramatic lighting, you're going to have to learn the light properties. That's the stage I'm at now with my poser art. I do my own lights now instead of prepackaged and there's a huge difference.

I would really suggest reading the tutorials that are linked to this post: 3d links We have all read and used these tutorials at some point and continue to use them. The best way to get better is to keep practicing.

Render settings: Read this tutorial http://www.theangrycrayon.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5760&highlight=settings there's another one by As Shanim but I can't find it. But I think that might be a big issue with how your renders come out. You gotta go manual settings as opposed to automatic. Especially if you want high res renders.

None of us are real uber pro's although we've all had our moments of glory hehe. Just keep those things in mind and we'll be happy to help ya =)

:sad Wow.. sorry to hear about your computer!!!! for fonts : www.dafont.com is my primary source.. there are tons more linked in the TAC Art Institute forum's threads along with lots of tutorials on how to make some kick ass effects for your fonts =)
