It's been awhile...

I used to use Poser all the time, but my computer was hating it which seriously took the fun out of it. I recently fell back into it, so am getting used to playing again, though, until i have the money I'm kinda stuck using Daz|Studio, which for free, isn't to bad of a program. kinda clumsy at times, but could be worse. anyways, this is the firsst full comp I've done since starting over, so CC for future reference would be appreciated. I may use her again with a different setup, don't know yet. thought about making a sig with her, cuz overall I'm rather pleased.

I like her very much! And the background is great!

But...

There's a strange pixellation to her skin and most of the colors.
I noticed it's a GIF.
Have you tried saving it as a JPG?

i caught that when i started playing with the edited image to make a sigtag out of. all the dolling i've been doing, i've just gotten use to gifs... dragging out the original image to resave, see what happens

Thanks!

edit ~ jpg version ~ her nose still has odd pixels, but the rest seems to have smoothed out. odd

Try saving in .png That's all I use for photos etc these days.

hmmm... i think my program doesn't like me... tried .png, and all the weird pixels came back... how odd.

yet, in this one, there's no weird pixels on her face, but there are around the name... and it's in jpg *sigh*

Beautiful :) I love the sig you have made from her.

PNG are nice quality wise but the file sizes are gimungous. They're okay if you're making a final version of a desktop or something, but for web display, they're bad. Especially if they're being used as a signature or avatar.

Yea, that is true. I just do so much digital scrapbooking that I never save anything as jpg anymore. But for online jpg is the best.

I never save straight out of poser unless its as a PSD, then from there I save at high reso as a jpg. Sometimes I see the weird pixeling though, not sure why it does that. Don't forget your shadows on the headpiece, otherwise they look as if they're pasted on kinda =) Beautiful job on rendering the dress!!! :thumbsup

*smacks forehead* ya know ~ if I hadn't been so damn tired when I finished this, I probably would have noticed that. and you'd think i'd have caught it after my roomine asked if the head peice was a tattoo... cripes i musta been outta it!!
