Chicken shish kabob Or however you wanna spell it!
Need:
12" skewers
one pkg mushrooms
1 green pepper
1 onion
1 chicken breast
1 jar maraschino cherries
1 can pineapple chunks
soy sauce
orange peel
chile oil (if desired... crushed red pepper will do too)
white or black pepper
garlic powder
Chunk up the pepper, mushrooms, chicken, and onion. set aside.
In a large tupperware container fill about an inch high with soy sauce (it's tough to tell measurements... sorry!), add about 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp orange peel, 1-2 tsp chile oil or red pepper (season spice to taste), and about 1/2 tsp black or white pepper.
Toss in your veggies and chicken. Cover and shake like there's no tomorrow.
Skewer chicken first, then follow up with assorted veggie chunks. Top skewer with a pineapple chunk, and a cherry.
Preheat oven to 375.
Bake on cookie sheet with tin foil underneath for about 20 minutes... before putting in the oven, season skewers with just a dash of orange peel and garlic.
Sorry so vague on the marinade. I made it up and have never measured the amounts. Just use what smells good. :P
