I gave up...

ever get to the point where the darn thing is just driving you nuts and if you look at it one more minute you'll delete the whole file and waste hours of work?

anyways... this is as close as i could get it to what i was seeing in my head...

2 things that jumped out at me, well 3.

1 - It's dark. Alt Level it in PS, it won't wash it out.
2 - There's a bright pixel over by her nose.
3 - the hair looks blocky, likeit could use a hard smudge at the tips possibly.

The imagery is great, very ethereal and very beautiful. Maybe add some sort of muted sky background, to give her more of the feeling that she's floating. Otherwise me likey! :thumbsup

the hair was where i was having serious problems. it looked much worse before, sadly. i spent 3 days trying to get it to look smoother, and this was the best of all the test layers i did. lemme try one more thing...

the 1st thing though ~ i use PSP, you don't happen to know what the equivalant is?

i like the background idea... have to look and see what i can find in my archives...

first thing - Get Motif textures for that hair from renderosity, ... that where you boo boo is! his trans map for that hair is a must have .. i tried using it and it was nice but clumpy imho.

Beautiful piece .. :)

OH! BTW .. you can say FUCK FUCK FUCK on this forum but I give up are bad words!! ..

ever get to the point where the darn thing is just driving you nuts and if you look at it one more minute you'll delete the whole file and waste hours of work?

what ya think we are here for?! /spank

alt level - ajust your brightness/cantrast sat/hue levels
Try brightness 30, sat 15 or
60 brightness, 30sat w/e

or if you feel like trying something new do this :
1. Adjust > brightness Contrast > brightness/sat : 60/30
2. Copy layer: name it whatever you want , make sure its blend mode is set on screen, 100% op. // blend ranges : set on gray channel
3. Make a 2nd copy of your FIRST layer not the 2nd , blend mode: soft light// blend ranges: gray channel
4. On you 2d copy: Gaussian blur set at 4
5. Make a new group layer: blend mode normal.
Adjust > hue/sat > Hue/sat/lightness: Check colorize, Set your hue at 34, sat at 19, lightness -19
6. Merge layers
7. Adjust > sharpness > sharpen (once or twice dont exceed more then twice or you have pixels starting to come in)

I think you might like the effects )
enjoy

Damn, it's been awhile since i got spanked!!!

grabbed the tex/trans you suggested and it did make a huge difference. i hadn't seen an immediate use for those haircolors, so put it on the pack burner for the time being. *shrug* the transmaps were worth it!

okie, i followed the directions you gave to the best of me meager abilities... and Wow. I so did like the effect. now to play with it and figure out exactly what just happened!!

and i get to thank Mai for tossing me the background! ain't she sweet?

Thanks Adienne! that was fun!
