Daz's latest aquisition : Eovia Corp.

Carrara is a nice 3D program.. umm I think Freddy on DA uses it some? I know I've seen someone who does.. it's nice, supposedly handles terrain better than Bryce so I'd say it's on par with Vue? And I think Hexagon is a modeling problem, but I've never really heard of it just going from what I've seen people mention in posts discussing this.

Carrara is a really nice modelling program.

A nice "beginner" one without all the drawbacks. Ironically, its the one that most folks I know use to "quickly model and texture" people.

Which makes it a great buy for DAZ, really.

Also, its not terribly well documented, so its a hard program to just pick up - so a whole new market of folks makes Carrara happy too.

(I also seem to vaguely recall they did neat Motion Cap. stuff, but that could be my mind =p)
