I'm on my way there, sitting at the Baltimore USO right now actually on the wireless network. Map of said country
I'm going to be at Manas near the capital city of Bishkek.
I should be able to access this site at work, crossing my fingers, and I'll try and get some photos of the place for Roz to update on our site so that you can see where I'm living and such.
At least it won't be 130 degree and with 100% humidity.
Apparently he can't reach TAC =( I'm going to set up a message board on our family site, maybe he can get to that but if anyone wants to leave him a note or something, I can get it to him.
I've talked to him twice since he got there on Tuesday night (our time). He's +14hrs ahead of Alaska time so +10 from EST. He says there arent that many guys there but it's more of a hub for the other bases in the region. Still, odds are he'll miss Catherine's birthday in September, but we plan on waiting to throw her party until after he gets back.
In any case, it's just me and Catherine again. We'll be alright, my brother and his family are visiting in July and hopefully my parents will come up the same time. Just wish Mike was here. Ok I'm getting all weepy. =(
