Surprised someone has not posted this one yet.
I never read the book so that was not an issue for me. My girlfriend said they butchered the book though.
2.5 hours and its slow
The acting is decent but what would you expect from Tom, Ian, and Ron. The plot felt a little under developed to someone who had not read the book. All in all a decent movie but I would wait for it on DVD.
The french chick was the best part.

We saw the movie this morning, and I hadn't read the book. I liked the movie and had no problems understanding anything. It might have been a teensy bit long, but not so I'd complain. I loved the theories presented...found them entertaining, and think everyone did a great job in putting the film together.

It has been awhile since I read the book, and we saw the movie on Saturday.
I think the movie was about as good as it could be. A movie will never be as good as a book. Someone correct me if I am wrong though, but when Langdon and the french chick meet up with whatshisname and are explaining to her the theory, I dont remember Langdon playing the devil's advocate role to the theory as much in the book as he did in the movie. I thought in the book that Langdon was pretty much sold on the idea, although I could be remembering that wrong.
I think maybe I am right and the difference with the movie was Howard's way of offering a voice of opposition to ease the anger of the Church regarding the movie.
I give it a 7/10 though.

I found him believable.

I was surprised but I think he did a good job with the part. The movie leaves some of the longer explanations out but does go through it enough to explain what is going on and that was something I figured was no easy task. All in all, it was a good job.
I liked the guy playing Silas also, he was very convincing is his conviction.
