I so want to see this but the likelyhood of it still playing when I can finally stay awake for longer than an hour, hobble down the stairs and find the theatre chair comfry is highly unlikely. *sobs*

I predict it will be the Memorial Day blockbuster, so you should be able to see it up til around middle of July, depending on the theatres near you.

I usually like to stay for all the credit stuff, but we didn't on this one. I did read what happened though. All in all, I give it a 7 out of 10. I had issues with some of it but since this is a no spoiler thread, I will keep quiet.

I liked it, it was very typical XMen to me. I was happy with the resolution to a couple of characters, and not so happy for one.

But I wish 'someone' had told me what was there at the end of the credits. There had to be more credits for that movie than any other in history, and after all that waiting...eh.

I missed the credits myself. I enjoyed the movie. My girlfriend cried :)

I must have become thoroughly desensitized too, coz...what part was sad?

:( I cry over Hallmark cards too...and yes I know the scenes...I just don't ever remember crying over comic book movies...

I teared up in Gladiator, 2 of the LOTR series, and in the final star trek movie when they killed data.

see I've been reading these since I was 9.. it's not a "comic movie" to me. It's characters from my favorite literary series and favorite things from my childhood / adulthood brought to life before my eyes.
Den 19 years ago
I guess my reference to 'comic book movie' pertains to the characters being of such phenomenal powers, etc. that I just don't see them as REAL. Hence, when they die I have the feeling that they really don't need to be dead, and could easily come back to life if someone wanted them to. /shrugs Either that, or the movies just aren't made in the way that I am captured by the character enough to care...

This was my first X-Men experience and I have to say it was a really good movie. I don't know anything about the history of X-Men so it didn't ruin anything for me. I enjoyed the story line, found tears on my eyelashes in a couple of places and was generally awed by the special effects.

For those of us who just like action flicks and things blowing up, I give this a 8 out of 10. For those like my husband who has simply walked out of the theater shaking his head after each one, he gives this a 4 out of 10.

He says they did a great job with the characters but they took way too much liberty with the story.
