/sighs Question...

Honestly, you're just not gonna get a high setting render with those specs. Most of us are running at least a gig ram and my processer is 2.8ghz. Depending on how much you have in a scene, if you have shadows on, raytracing on for reflections, anything like that, and basically yer fucked. I fight time and time again with mine to get really good settings. I'm to the point where I plan on getting a new machine and the only thing that's going to be installed on it will be my 3d progs and everything else can stay on here. I have an 80 gig hard drive and a 120gig external. The external is slowly filling with all the zips I keep of poser stuff, my pictures folder which needs desperately to be burned to cd soon, and anything else that I don't need on my machine. And my main hard drive is damn near full atm :( 30 gig runtime doesn't help, but neither does all the other programs I have on here and a few games and such. So believe me, I feel for ya :(

Tru dat ^ - I have 1.5 gig but only 1.8 ghz and I can't render anything with a detailed background until I upgrade. =/ Going to have to render them separately more than likely.

i have dual core 3.4ghz and 1gb ram... i can render just about anything i try to render, it just takes a long time.

thats why you render in layers, background, figure, shadows only. overlay them in photoshop ( save them all as psd and extract by using alpha layer selection )

Might make a difference for you. I know I only have 1.5 gb of ram and somewhere around a 1.8 or 2.0 prcessor so I have to render in layers now.. but honestly I like to, for compositing and to add effects and such easier.

yeah well i have to get up the motivation to go back to Poser6 first unless they get a D|S one (which would be nice)

I'm sitting at 3gs and i have the issue sometimes too but my computer is full i got maybe like 5% lol yeah i needs to clean it up allot , i render in layers still reguardless so i can get my dof the way i want it cuz we all know posers little dof option is ass >(
