I didn't see any out takes, just after the story was over stuff. At the very end of the credits there's a little more too, nothing major, just kinda funny.
Catherine is a hyper Lightning McQueen fan now. She does this thing where she makes up her own songs and she's walking about the house singing, 'Lightning McQueen...eeen!' over and over and over.
She kept bugging me to go to McDonalds for lunch today and when we got there she started screaming, 'oh please please please let me get Lightning McQueen.'
I said, 'Wait...what? You wanted to eat here because McDonalds has the Cars toys?'
'YES!'
And what toy do you think they had?
'OH MY GOD ITS LIGHTNING MCQUEEN! IM SO HAPPY!'
Imagine hyper little girl screaming.
Anyway, it's an incredibly beautiful movie. Pixar put out another quality movie that I'd have to say is geared towards 'families' not just a kid movie with adult jokes. The ending was a real tear jerker. Seriously you want to hug your fellow man and shit. Good movie, I liked it, Catherine liked it, I liked it for Catherine and we'll definitely buy the DVD and then a replacement copy for when she runs the first one into the groun.
Cars
Cute movie. Lots of laughs.
Think... Doc Hollywood meets Days of Thunder, kind of. With kid-friendly jokes and (as usual) awesome Pixar-nimation.
Didn't get to stay through the credits, but the "outtakes" visible during the beginning of the roll are funny and insightful.

I guess I just didn't get it. I love the people behind it...Bonnie Hunt, Owen Wilson, Paul Newman...and the graphics were super...but the story left me kinda flat. Though I did sleep through 2/3 of it :P I need to quit going to the movies while on pain meds I guess.
The kids in the audience seemed to really like it, as did a guy about six rows down from me... I laughed at him!

We really enjoyed this!
The little thing at the end at the drive in was the best part.
When leaving the theater my 4 year old remarked, "Look Mommy we drive a car that looks just like the talking racing one."
I replied, "You're right, we do. It needs to be washed just like he did."
We drive a classic red, '03 Chevy Cavalier and if we were all paying attention, Lightening was in fact a Chevy. ;)

We 'HAD' to buy the Cars comforter while in WalMart yesterday. I refuse to pay 20 bucks for sheets when I just walked over 2 aisles and bought blue sheets for 6 bucks. She was thrilled to go to bed. /whew

But if he were a Ford, the story never would have happened, for obvious reasons.
Oh, okay, :blah I'll spell it out.

Oh the little flies? They were volkswagen bugs, yeah. Is that a Herbie reference? I just thought it was a literal joke. Bugs are...little bug cars.

If nothing else see it because George Carlin is the VW Bus hippy.

Yeah the hippy bus is hilarious. It really is a pretty good movie, besides the fact that it's beautifully done.
