contractions "typically" start within a month of delivery
most woman dialate between 1-2 centimeters about 2 weeks before giving birth,
vaginal discharge is common throught pregnancy but increases as you get closer, keep out for a very greenish thick discharge you will be able to tell the difference because it is much thicker than normal and a lot more of it
just enjoy it try to be as comfortable as possible,
your "nesting" urge might intensify
you will do fine =D
is it time to pop yet?
Got some preggo pics done recently. i'm 34 1/2 weeks in these pictures. A big difference than the last 22 week picture lol. i think i look huge(just in the tummy) but i had never seen myself except for straight down. None of my mirrors go below my shoulders. So i was like WHOA! i know i know im not huge but its crazy to be 21lbs bigger just in ONE SPOT. it's all front.

lol -- and Dia...you'll swear you're not most women, and that you are the first one to go through such an experience ;-)
(I had no Braxton Hicks, went for a check up two days before delivering and wasn't dialated at all, did lose my mucus plug but it looked like just a slightly thicker brownish red discharge that I might have missed had I not been watching for it, and got my nesting urge about a month before I delivered.
I did do fine though! You will too :D)

The nesting thing is wild - I cleaned every single piece of cloth in my house and mopped the floors daily. Very weird.

I scrubbed baseboards and refolded all of the baby stuff three times before I was satisfied with it.
All the while drinking slurpees and eating cheetos and peanutbutter.

And does that child like cheetos and peanut butter? I ate cheese and dill pickles like a fiend when pregnant...and my daughter loved those from day one as well...
As for the house cleaning, my mom said my house never looked cleaner before or since :P

Gah, lucky. I was on a strict diabetic diet. The only real meal I had was my first one after I had her. Oh my god it was so good. Turkey chunks of something with gravy - whatever it was, it was so good. After that they put me back on diabetic hospital meals =( blech.

Oh hun I was my most healthy when I was pregnant...the only bad part was the heartburn that came with EVERYTHING I ate or drank. But I do remember I ate a really small dinner Monday night, then went into the hospital at 2:00am Tuesday morning...was in labor all day Tuesday so they wouldn't let me eat anything...after I had her at 12:16am Wednesday morning they gave me graham crackers and orange juice and...O M G! It was the best food ever! LOL Must be a post delivery thing our bodies go through ;-)

Mira- yay! that makes me think hes comming real soon, since my butt got thrown on bedrest since may for contractions that stayed! /happy dance.
i feel bad at time for just wanting him OUT. I just want to lay on my stomach so badly, i miss it! I found this nice baby site through studiommo believe it or not! cosmosue had a link www.babyandmeforum.com and shes a moderator. Theres a little group of us July heffers and we are all startin to feel like crapola now its funny! I havent argued with anyone there yet surprisingly lol i think i was on parents.com for 3 days before i told someone to shut up.
im kinda dissapointed i didnt get any weird cravings! Like none! I went through a PB&J month and a chilli fry month, and currently a if its flavored cherry i want it. But nothing like icecream and pickles. or Cheetos and PB!
poor roz =( was Catherine a huge baby? Ive heard that they are bigger babies with diabeties.
i spent the whole day in bed yesterday and most of it died down. /sad Bout 3am two huge pains woke me up but they left thankfully. I'm just gonna stay movin today, its easier to walk but the more i do the harder it gets. i keep freakin out that i wont notice whats goin on and have the baby at home in my toilet! My mom thinks ive become looney. =D

Actually no, she was 7lbs 14oz and 21 inches. Those assholes had me so scared I'd hurt her that my A1C (tests for blood in your sugar for the past 3 months) was at 5 which is below a non diabetic at 6. =x So she was exactly average. I was induced though, they started to induce me at 37 weeks but they wanted to wait a week just in case.
Being forced into labor twice was not fun lol.

Yes, both my kids love peanutbutter and cheetos and slurpees as that is what I craved with both my kiddos.
With my oldest I was incredibly healthy not even morning sickness, until the end when I had hypertension and they induced my labor. I agree with Shay Pitocin is evil.
Then with my second, I had more crap wrong with me. I had morning/noon/night sickness until I was 4 1/2 months, and if I kept anything down it was usually what ever I was craving enough to go get at three in the morning, or PB and cheetos.
Then at six months I was diagnosed with galstones and was forced to eat nothing but lean cuisines and non-fat everything until after she came and I could have my galbladder removed 3 weeks later. That very first hospital meal after the liquid stuff was meatloaf and OMG is was crazy good.
Kate was supposed to be induced, but that stuff they put on your cervix to soften it triggered my one hour and thirty minute 10 push labor. Kate was supposed to be induced because she was getting much too big for me to have naturally and if she didn't come in the next few days after my visit then we were to induce on Mon, so that she didn't get any bigger.
I will not tell you how many stiches that child gave me, but I will say her head was 14 inches in diamater. *cringe*

holy crap OUCH. Kaytana i can only imagen the after pain and how many ice packs it took to make that feel good o.0
I have heartburn, they gave me zantac 150's for it. Luckily i had my gallbladder out in 2001 so i didnt have to worry bout that. Water of all things makes me burp/vurp more than anything. go figure. I think im in the middle of the bridge with health during pregnancy. I know it coulda been much worse but i wasnt all that healthy either. I never got that pregnancy glow =( i got the pregnancy f*ckin acne tho for sure! So maybe i did glow, from all the oil on my face!

Oh, another weird thing I got, then found out it wasn't all that weird...the brown markings. My knees and armpits got brown, and I developed an almost perfectly straight brown line from the top of my belly, right down the middle, through my belly button, to the top of my pubes...very dark brown...I used to call it my 'cut on the dotted line' marking lol - which was no where near where they would have cut if I'd had a C-Section. And wonder of all wonders, almost right after delivery all the markings faded away totally.
God...I just envy you Dia...it's just such an awesome experience...pain and all.

Is that what its called? lol No one ever told me. But I went to a clinic and saw a different freaking doctor each time. I think they probably just said something like..."it's natural, don't worry about it " :P
If you do the labor, the delivery was a piece of cake. I was only in the delivery room for 16 minutes before I had her, and was so focused on my breathing, etc., I forgot to watch it all in the mirror. I was so pissed that I missed it :(

I had the cervix softening stuff and the inducing and neither worked cause David's head was stuck on my pelvic bone..but they kept trying and I was in labor for 42 hours. All things being equal though I prefered the pain to the pregnancy because to me, the more I hurt, the closer I was to having the whole thing over with. 42 hours was nothing compared to 10 months.
Here's my word to the wise Dia. After the baby is born, don't be surprised if you are hyper sensitive and very emotional. Even if you don't have full out post partum, you will have a couple of weeks of crying for no reason and general panic. People will be telling you what to do but not telling you what you think you need to know. Mine went away in two weeks and I suddenly had a feeling of "hey, *I'm* the mother, *I* know what's best" and it got better from there. So my advice is, if you start to despair, remind yourself it's just the damned hormones talking.

Roger that. I was freaking out for about a month or so. I pushed everyone away and was completely hysterical as soon as the sun went down. I was so afraid Catherine would cry and never stop, but thankfully she was a quiet happy baby who only fussed when hungry. (knock on wood).

Thank you Gilae and Roz! My mom wants to come over and stay the first few nights if i want, but i almost just want to be left alone so i can make mistakes in private. Theres always the phone right?
Gilae do you use a pacifier? I ask because my friend has 10week old twins and i've babysat and came over and helped so i could get practise (btw twins would make me cry thank god im having one!) and they use pacifiers but every time it falls out of their mouths they would wake and cry. So iit was no sleep at all, because those things fall out a ton! I bought 2 for Joey but im not sure if im gonna use em.
