I know I wouldn't. My mother was studying for hers and the sample tests were asking questions I hadn't learned since I was 12. =x

IMO, a lot of these questions really are silly, in as much as most of us born here don't know them. I know having some knowledge of the country you want to become a citizen of is necessary though, and I don't know what other questions I'd replace them with.
The thing that gets me though, and I know it's a bit OT, but I am constantly amazed, and appalled, by the college students, and TEACHERS who don't know even more basic things about our country...like those depicted on Jay Leno's 'Jay Walking'. TEACHERS!!! History teachers who don't know how many states are in the US, and what the last one added was, and when...or something equally easy. And then they wonder why 30% of the kids in one of our local high schools couldn't pass the new exit exams.

I was never good at dates times and places, which is why my history scores were always very low. I only got 70% on the test, but I haven't used that sort of information for over ten years.
I think it important that men and women coming into our country learn a little bit about it.
Shay, I too was appalled by that history teacher and not knowing things like who wrote the national anthem and how many stripes were on the flag. In Texas, if you are going to teach at the secondary level you must have a degree in the subject you are teaching, she obviously taught the book she was given and did not have a passion for her subject and, I would be inclined to assume, did not have a degree in history. I would be one ticked off parent if that was my child's history teacher.

Yeah having been out of highschool for....oh...15 years! I don't remember my U.S. History so well anymore....I only got a 75%, haha!

95%. The question I got wrong was the form you had to fill out to try to come to america, I don't remember being taught that. =p

70% but I feel that the supreme court justice selection was a trick question. I chose Congress, because they confirm it. The president could appoint a Canadian Goose to be a Supreme Court Justice, but if it doesn't pass the congress whats the point?
That, and why would I know what form I would need to become a naturalized citizen? They have forms for that? I thought they all just border hopped, got a California drivers license and then your a citizen.
