The Villians get a power set called a mastermind where you get these themed thugs (ninjas, robots or street thugs I believe) to follow you around, like a enchanter or a mage but with multiple pets... he's level 14 (I think) and has 2 thugs and a higher damage/level enforcer that he summons. So he solos and churns out damage from 4 people.. he's a pack unto himself hehe.

I haven't bought city of villians but I gotta say, I'm really enjoying playing this time around. I'm not playing with anyone which might be why I'm enjoying it 
No, not because I don't 'want' to, but I've noticed being in this time zone (-4est) makes it hard to hook up with people on their schedule. I can solo a lot easier this time as well.

X has been playing CoV and he *loves* it. It seems more interesting than CoH since things are grittier and less plain looking. CoV was much more enjoyable for me than CoH. It took everything I knew about mmorpg's and tossed it into the blender with ice and alcohol for a delish treat!
Why I stopped playing? I cant recall, but Masterminds are fun. Though I loved being a plant dom.

hehe I like the ganger / gun set. It's cool to see a character pull up a couple pistols blasting away and a minion whip out an uzi and lay waste to somene tossing energy blasts or using a sword =)

heh.. X was telling me the highest level summoned minion in the ninja set is a Japanese fire demon looking one.. sounds super cool. But to me the basic ninja minions look too much like Emperial Navy officers a la original Star Wars trio with their baggy gray pants and such.

Actually it was a reference to Kingdom of Loathing. My MM named her minions Starving Zmobie, Ravenous Zmobie and Gaunt Ghuol.
