Monster House

This is not a kid's movie. I don't care if it's in 3D and has goofy little kids in the movie - this is clearly not a movie for kids under the age of 5.

Basically it's about a house that is possessed. I won't give the details, but overall it's pretty disturbing. There's a crotchety old man you never seen in the previews that yells at the kids to keep off the lawn, but they do A LOT of close ups on his face (missing teeth, pale faced) while he's yelling his head off. During one of these seens, a 2 year old started to FREAK OUT SCREAMING. She started to climb over her father's shoulder she was so scared. At one point Catherine was like, 'Uh...mommy this is scary.'

It's a good movie but I'd almost say it's a preteen age level. Shit I bet you this was scarier than Piratesx2. I'd give it a 7/8 out of 10 - really it's nicely done, lots of funny parts...but don't take your toddlers.
