Well technically it wasn't an 'official' exchange, so jenna was telling me that they can't really regulate. The girl that had Jenna hasn't been around since literally signing up. Hope she's ok. As for mine, she said she was blocked, but started doing other art again so /shrug.

Well I don't blame you there. Its a shame though, those used to be some of the best little things to do. There really is no way to say who will be responsible and who won't. Some long standing members have totally spaced it and posting on a board is easy enough...saying something worth reading, that is more difficult.
Maybe the way to go would be to make turn ins via pm to the mod running the challenge. They can make the turn in time several days before the post date and check off names of all the ones completed and turned in. Those that haven't been completed by the pm turn in time will have a few days to get it together and post something. If they still can't make that then when they've been reminded of it then they shouldn't be allowed to do any more challenges.
Because come on...if you can't suck it up and finish something you've had a month to work on and signed up for and you don't care enough about hurting someone else's feelings or your own, now crappy, reputation then you don't deserve to be allowed to play with those that can and do.
Of course in member run challenges there is no way to say no to people who are banned, I suppose, though I'm a vocal member who would have no problems posting after them and asking if they really planned on turning something IN this time.

Roger that. However, my person finally posted something for me which I thought was cool, if not oddly timed. It happens every exchange though, someone's late (habitually late with the same reason - oh my poor computer blew up, boo hoo), not turn in at all or turn in late with less than satisfying results. I do like the wip my person did for me and it's not like I'm holding it against that person - in any case, it's a shame, especially to have it done 2 exchanges in a row.
It makes me hesitant, to say the least but I'll be signing up for the HH over there since it's an official exchange and any unfortunate issues that happen with the sci fi event here - I will be making something for that day so no one feels left out =) It's a shitty feeling though, lemme tell ya. Embarassing, dissapointing - especially when you see a long standing member repeatedly be late. =/
