So does it give you the new canvas and then does the strange thing or does it not give you a new canvas at all before it breaks?
If it is allowing you to have a new canvas then check the mode and see if the image mode has been changed to something odd.
Otherwise, I can't imagine what might be wrong with it unless the picture is like life sized and photoshop is having a memory eating seizure of some kind.
Photoshop borkedness question
So, I am trying to finish Mai's sig and avatar off. When I try to open a new canvas, all the options grey out and I can't close PS except through taskmanager by ending the process. Its like it goes into a weird hang state. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and still does it.
Anyone have a clue why it hates me?
At this rate to finish off Mai's stuffs, I will have to reload Paintshop Pro to get em done in any decent timeframe.
I am really sorry Mai, I should have done them first.

If I tell it to open an already existing file, it does that ok. But as soon as I try to make a new one it does the weird greyed out options everywhere thing.
In eventviewer, it says the program is hung. Its just weird, it was fine last week and now its all bleh.
Did I whine about wanting my new computer back from the technicians yet today? /whine /whimper /cry
Well, NM for now, I will do the work in PSP, just have to reinstall it.

Awww, that's strange. My photoshop does sometimes hate me but it hasn't ever done that. PSP has some nice features too. I used to have them both installed.
