New TV Superman Tom Welling has given the Teen Wolf film franchise a boost after reportedly signing on for a new movie. In the new Teen Wolf, a remake of Michael J. Fox's 1985 movie, the fun-loving werewolf of the title will be played by a female. Website DarkHorizons.com reports that Smallville star Welling will be part of the supporting cast of the new film.

*sigh*

Hooray. Let's make a crappy remake of an already sub-par movie. :p

Man, my little seven year old self -loved- Michael J Fox. I guess even then I had sort of a soft spot for short angsty high strung little guys.

Anyway. Yeah that looks like crap.

LOL -- Ok - I'm weird - I liked Teen Wolf, but then I saw it with my daughter, and am sure some of her delight in it rubbed off on me ;)

Gerard Butler is supposedly penning a deal to play Snake in Escape from New York. Kurt Russell doesn't seem happy about it.

Thoughts on this remake?

I think we should come to terms with the idea that every movie or TV series that ever was will be remade. Possibly in the next five years.

I personally can't wait for the grittier, edgier ALF played by Mark Wahlberg.

GB is the it man right now and I'd watch anything with him in it...well except for Phantom of the Opera =x His accent makes my toes curl like you would not believe.

As for him doing Snake, that's fucking awesome. I mean come on, the original with Kurt Russel is a cult classic because of the plot, not so much because of Kurt's steller acting. The sequel was fricking horrible though. I'd kick a puppy to see GB in the remake though.

Mark Wahlberg as ALF... ROFL!

After seeing LOTS *winks and nudges* of Gerard in 300, not sure how I could handle his take on the Snake character.

as long as there was "lots" to see.... it'd be worth it!!!

He certainly has the acting ability and the body to play snake. Very underated actor whose time may have finally come.

Why not POTO? I thought he was quite decent in that role.

Eh, I don't dig movies like that =x Period pieces...there has to be more than pretty british people talking about killing their spouses or marrying well for me to watch it. I literally sat through 3/4's of Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly on the plane with the sound off, only looking up occasionally to watch it. I watched the very ending where he confesses his love, blah blah with the sound.

I am that stubborn.

omg - I loved that movie too :)
